Job Description

Baker's, a proud member of The Kroger Family of Companies, has been serving the Omaha, Nebraska community and surrounding areas since its merger with Kroger in 2001. As a regional grocery store chain, Baker's operates 11 locations across Nebraska, dedicated to providing customers with quality food and exceptional service. At Baker's, we focus on creating an inclusive and diverse work environment that embraces our core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. Our commitment to these principles is reflected not only in the products and services we offer but also in the way we treat our associates and customers. The Kroger Family of Companies stands behind associate well-being, ensuring a supportive work environment bolstered by comprehensive benefits and opportunities for career growth.

As an Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk working as an In-Store Grocery Shopper, you play a vital role in delivering a seamless and satisfying online shopping experience for our customers. Your primary responsibility is to select and gather products for customers' online orders with meticulous attention to freshness and quality, ensuring that each item meets Baker's high standards. You will efficiently assemble orders, process coupons and payments, and provide curbside pickup service by loading orders into customers' vehicles when they arrive at the store. This role is customer-facing and requires you to communicate clearly and professionally, providing outstanding service that encourages customers to return to online shopping with us.

You will be part of our dynamic e-Commerce team, working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, productivity, and attention to detail are essential. You will scan and bag orders while following strict bagging standards, communicate any necessary substitutions or order exceptions with customers, and adhere to food safety protocols and company guidelines. Your keen eye for quality control ensures that every product selected is fresh and handled with care to maintain optimal temperature and condition. You will be responsible for maintaining clean and organized staging areas and equipment, conducting opening and closing procedures, and assisting in training new team members. This position demands strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage conflict professionally and cooperatively.

At Baker's, we understand that work-life balance is important, so we offer flexible scheduling options for both part-time and full-time associates, along with paid time off, including holiday and sick pay based on eligibility and length of service. Our benefits package supports your physical, emotional, and financial well-being, including access to affordable medical, dental, vision coverage, an Employee Assistance Program, and financial coaching through Goldman Sachs Ayco. We are invested in your future, offering up to $21,000 in tuition reimbursement over your career through our industry-leading Continuing Education program, coupled with vast potential for professional growth through our comprehensive training programs and diverse career pathways.

This is more than just a grocery job. Working at Baker's means joining a passionate team dedicated to feeding the human spirit by providing exceptional food experiences to every customer. If you are caring, purpose-driven, and eager to learn, Baker's offers you a fresh opportunity to grow, connect, and thrive in a supportive environment where your potential is unlimited.
