The Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk position is a vital role that supports Mariano’s e-commerce efforts by assisting customers with their online grocery orders. The role is centered on selecting and gathering products with great attention to freshness and quality, assembling orders efficiently, and providing exceptional customer service at the time of delivery. This position involves interacting directly with customers, processing payments and coupons, scanning and bagging products according to company standards, and ensuring orders are accurately fulfilled and delivered to customers' cars. The Pick-Up Clerk helps create a positive shopping experience that encourages repeat online orders by demonstrating the company’s core values through each interaction.

This role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk also supports the ongoing organization and cleanliness of staging areas and must adhere to all safety and food handling guidelines. Job Duties

  • Select and gather products for customers' online orders with attention to freshness and quality
  • assemble customers' online orders
  • process coupons and payment
  • deliver and load orders to cars upon customer arrival
  • scan and bag orders following bagging standards
  • communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers at pick-up
  • adhere to food safety procedures and company guidelines
  • maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas
  • report discrepancies and equipment issues to supervisors
  • perform opening and closing procedures
  • assist in training new team members
  • meet or exceed productivity standards
  • provide positive customer service to encourage repeat online shopping
