Baristas at Philz work actively throughout their shifts, carrying out a variety of essential duties such as making drinks, preparing food orders, managing the register, cleaning, and restocking. Physically, the position demands stamina and the ability to perform a range of tasks, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds intermittently, and operating various machines and equipment. Visual acuity is necessary for maintaining safety and work accuracy. Communication skills are vital, enabling baristas to effectively exchange information with customers and teammates. Compensation for this role includes a starting base hourly rate ranging from $16.20 to $17.20, supplemented by tips averaging an additional $6.00 per hour through a tip pool system.
