Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements
- Current license or certification in the state of assignment as EMT-Paramedic
- Current CPR and AED certification
- Completion of FDA-approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
- Two years of clinical or hospital experience
- Ability to manage donor eligibility screening
- Familiarity with plasma collection industry regulations
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Availability to work full time in Indianapolis, IN
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent including graduate equivalent of an educational nursing program with state requirements
- Currently licensed or certified in the state of assignment as EMT-Paramedic
- Current CPR and AED certification
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
- Satisfactorily complete FDA-approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
- Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting
Job Duties
- Determine donor eligibility including informed consent management, AIDS education, confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis
- Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies according to SOPs and Center Physician's standing orders
- Refer donors to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical guidance
- Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees
- Manage employee incidents and determine need for further evaluation by occupational health or emergency room
- Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized, supporting community pandemic investigations
