The On-Premise Representative role with Constellation Brands is a full-time position based in Miami, Florida, focusing on sales within the on-premise market sector. This role is key for building and maintaining robust relationships with on-premise accounts, including bars, restaurants, and entertainment venues, to enhance the visibility and sales of Constellation's beer portfolio. The position requires a passionate, dynamic individual with excellent communication skills and a strong interest in the beer industry. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of On-Premise Market Execution, the representative acts as a local brand ambassador, driving sales initiatives and product placements both in draft and packaged formats. The role also involves organizing promotional events, educating account staff and consumers, conducting samplings, and activating marketing programs to increase brand awareness and consumer loyalty.
This position emphasizes achieving sales targets, expanding market presence, and fostering long-term partnerships with on-premise accounts. Beyond sales, the representative monitors competitive activity, market trends, and consumer preferences to provide actionable insights to the sales leadership team. Strong organizational skills are necessary for maintaining accurate records of sales calls, account activities, promotional feedback, expenses, and market trends. The role demands flexibility, including willingness to work evenings and weekends, travel for meetings, training, and market account servicing, sometimes requiring plane or train travel. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Successful completion of Motor Vehicle Record check required
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Willingness to travel regularly within the market and occasionally via plane/train
- Ability to move up to 55 lbs
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods and work at a desk/computer for extended times
- Effective communication skills
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills
- Ability to handle physical demands such as climbing stairs or ladders
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent job experience preferred
- Approximately 1 year of results-oriented experience in outside sales or food and beverage industry preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and strong communication abilities
- Computer literacy with advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Proven ability to work independently and achieve goals with minimal direction
- Strong planning, prioritization, and execution skills
- Ability to build strong relationships and influence at all levels
Job Duties
- Develop and manage relationships with key on-premise accounts within the assigned territory
- Achieve sales targets and distribution goals by executing sales initiatives and securing new placements
- Conduct regular account visits to ensure proper product placement, stock rotation, and point-of-sale material execution
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market presence
- Plan and execute on-premise events, samplings, staff trainings, and promotions
- Educate account staff and consumers on products, features, and benefits
- Monitor competitive activity, market trends, and report findings to sales leadership
- Maintain accurate records of sales calls, account activity, activation feedback, expenses, and market trends
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and distributor work-withs
- Represent the company at local industry events, festivals, promotions, and trade shows
