Job Requirements
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
- Reliable and prompt attendance
- Must respond to contact attempts regarding shift availability
- Ability to work at least one shift every 4 weeks
- Must work a shift at least once every 6 months (five months starting December 2024)
- Capable of lifting and moving merchandise up to 44 pounds safely
- Ability to climb up and down ladders safely
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work in varying temperature and humidity conditions
- Ability to remain mobile throughout scheduled shifts
- Must complete Target Welcome orientation and training schedule
- Ability to communicate via multiple frequency devices
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail or customer service experience beneficial
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Capability to operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Attention to detail and ability to follow multiple-step processes
- Ability to resolve guest questions quickly and efficiently
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Basic cash handling skills
- Certification to operate power equipment is a plus
Job Duties
- Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
- Observe to quickly understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact
- Engage with guests in a genuine way, including asking questions to understand their needs
- Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available to solve issues and improve guest experience
- Thank guests and let them know they are appreciated
- Help guests while completing workload with minimal disruption
- Work in all departments to ensure sales floor is full, zoned, and stocked
- Push and stock product to the sales floor
- Execute adjacency changes, transitions, revisions, and sales plans
- Conduct weekly price change workload and ensure accurate signing
- Complete scans and system audits to ensure inventory accuracy
- Support execution of major transitions and store initiatives
- Maintain interior and exterior brand cleanliness
- Accurately execute all product pulls and backstock
- Process inbound deliveries using receive application
- Complete backroom weekly audits
- Operate power equipment if certified
- Maintain backroom organization and equipment guidelines
- Follow processes with attention to detail and prioritize tasks
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
- Work safely at all times and identify hazards
- Support guest services like backup cashier, order pick up, and Drive-up
- Comply with all relevant laws during guest service
- Perform other duties as required based on business needs
