Job Requirements
- flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- reliable and prompt attendance
- active engagement in picking up and working shifts at least once every four weeks
- ability to respond to contact attempts from leadership
- capability to climb ladders safely
- ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently including lifting up to 44 pounds
- physical stamina to remain mobile and work in varying environmental conditions
- willingness to complete all required training
- compliance with all safety and ethical standards
- legal eligibility to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous retail or customer service experience beneficial
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- proficiency in operating multiple frequency devices and handheld scanners
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- strong attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
- capability to resolve guest questions quickly and effectively
- welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and coworkers
- ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- create a welcoming experience for guests while completing daily tasks
- engage with guests to address their needs in a welcoming manner
- thank guests and express appreciation for choosing Target
- be knowledgeable about products, tools, and services to enhance guest experience
- help guests while performing workload with minimal disruption
- work in all departments to ensure sales floor is stocked, organized, and priced accurately
- assist with truck unload and stocking of product on the sales floor
- execute adjacency changes, transitions, revisions, and sales plans
- conduct weekly price changes and ensure accurate signing for departments
- complete scans and system audits to maintain inventory accuracy
- support execution of major transitions
- maintain interior and exterior brand standards including cleanliness and cart management
- accurately execute product pulls and manage backstock
- process all inbound deliveries using receiving application
- complete weekly backroom audits
- operate power equipment only if certified
- maintain backroom organization and follow equipment guidelines
- comply with safety policies and report hazards
- support guest services such as backup cashier, order pickup, and Drive-up while complying with applicable laws
- perform other duties based on business needs
