Job Requirements
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times
- reliable attendance and punctuality
- ability to lift or move products up to 44 pounds occasionally
- capability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift
- willingness to respond to contact attempts to confirm shift availability
- willingness to work at least one shift every four weeks
- ability to work in varying temperature and weather conditions for certain duties
- completion of Target Welcome orientation and training schedule
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior retail or customer service experience is beneficial
- effective communication skills
- ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- positive and helpful attitude towards guests and team members
- ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment
- capability to work independently and collaboratively
- attention to detail and organizational skills
- willingness to learn and promote store programs and services
- basic cash handling skills
Job Duties
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete your daily tasks
- engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
- be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store to solve issues and improve guest experience
- thank guests and express appreciation for shopping at Target
- scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety and company standards
- work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
- make guests aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events
- promote Target Loyalty programs and assist guests with application or sign-up
- support guest services such as order pick up, drive-up, and registry guests
- maintain a clean, clutter-free work area
- stock supplies during store hours while remaining available for guests
- demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
- work safely and comply with all safety policies and training
- support cash office processes including cash system management
- partner with leaders to resolve guest concerns and de-escalate situations
