Job Requirements

  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times
  • reliable attendance and punctuality
  • ability to lift or move products up to 44 pounds occasionally
  • capability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift
  • willingness to respond to contact attempts to confirm shift availability
  • willingness to work at least one shift every four weeks
  • ability to work in varying temperature and weather conditions for certain duties
  • completion of Target Welcome orientation and training schedule

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior retail or customer service experience is beneficial
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • positive and helpful attitude towards guests and team members
  • ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment
  • capability to work independently and collaboratively
  • attention to detail and organizational skills
  • willingness to learn and promote store programs and services
  • basic cash handling skills

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete your daily tasks
  • engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
  • be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store to solve issues and improve guest experience
  • thank guests and express appreciation for shopping at Target
  • scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety and company standards
  • work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
  • make guests aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events
  • promote Target Loyalty programs and assist guests with application or sign-up
  • support guest services such as order pick up, drive-up, and registry guests
  • maintain a clean, clutter-free work area
  • stock supplies during store hours while remaining available for guests
  • demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
  • work safely and comply with all safety policies and training
  • support cash office processes including cash system management
  • partner with leaders to resolve guest concerns and de-escalate situations
