Job Requirements

  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times
  • capability to lift and move merchandise up to 44 pounds safely
  • access to a smartphone or device to use the myTime mobile scheduling app
  • willingness to engage actively by picking up shifts at least once every four weeks
  • reliable and prompt attendance when shifts are accepted
  • ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • ability to comply with federal, state, and local laws and company policies
  • capacity to remain mobile for the duration of scheduled shifts
  • ability to work in varying temperature and humidity conditions
  • willingness to complete Target Welcome orientation and training

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • experience in customer service or retail is beneficial but not required
  • effective communication skills including using positive language
  • ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
  • welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
  • attention to detail while multitasking
  • ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • basic cash handling experience is a plus

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
  • engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
  • be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to improve guest experience
  • scan and bag all guest items efficiently and in compliance with safety standards
  • work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
  • support guest services such as order pick up, drive up, and registry
  • maintain a clean and clutter free work area
  • partner with leaders to de-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience
  • support cash office processes as needed
  • comply with all safety policies and report hazards
  • pick up and work shifts reliably as scheduled
