Job Requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times
- capability to lift and move merchandise up to 44 pounds safely
- access to a smartphone or device to use the myTime mobile scheduling app
- willingness to engage actively by picking up shifts at least once every four weeks
- reliable and prompt attendance when shifts are accepted
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- ability to comply with federal, state, and local laws and company policies
- capacity to remain mobile for the duration of scheduled shifts
- ability to work in varying temperature and humidity conditions
- willingness to complete Target Welcome orientation and training
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- experience in customer service or retail is beneficial but not required
- effective communication skills including using positive language
- ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
- welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
- attention to detail while multitasking
- ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- basic cash handling experience is a plus
Job Duties
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
- engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
- be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to improve guest experience
- scan and bag all guest items efficiently and in compliance with safety standards
- work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
- support guest services such as order pick up, drive up, and registry
- maintain a clean and clutter free work area
- partner with leaders to de-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience
- support cash office processes as needed
- comply with all safety policies and report hazards
- pick up and work shifts reliably as scheduled
