Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Reliable and punctual attendance
  • Ability to handle cash register operations accurately
  • Capability to scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Active engagement by working at least one shift every four weeks
  • Ability to stand and remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift
  • Physical capability to lift merchandise up to 44 pounds
  • Willingness to respond to communication for shift confirmations
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and environmental conditions

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks
  • Engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
  • Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available to solve issues for guests and improve their experience
  • Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
  • Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy
  • Promote current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events
  • Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assist with application or sign-up
  • Follow register prompts, partnering with leaders as needed to help solve for the guest while following policies and procedures
  • Partner with leaders to de-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience
  • Deliver easy and accurate service to all Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
  • Maintain a clean, clutter free work area
  • Stock supplies during store open hours while being available for guests
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
  • Work in a safe manner at all times and comply with safety policies
  • Support guest services such as order pick up, Drive-up orders, DU Returns and maintain a compliance culture
  • Support Cash Office processes as needed including management of cash systems
  • Perform other duties based on business needs
