Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous retail or customer service experience preferred
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays and peak times
  • capable of standing for long periods and frequently lifting or moving product up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds without assistance
  • reliable attendance and active engagement by picking up and working shifts at least once every 4 weeks
  • ability to respond to contact attempts for shift scheduling
  • willingness to comply with safety policies and procedures
  • capability to work in varying temperatures and environments while performing job duties

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively, including using positive language and attentive to guests needs
  • capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
  • welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members
  • attention to detail while multi-tasking
  • willing to educate guests and engage around products and services
  • ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed
  • work both independently and with a team

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks
  • engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
  • be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the total store and specific to your area to solve issues for the guest and improve their experience
  • thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target
  • scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
  • work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy
  • make the guest aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events
