Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- reliable and prompt attendance
- ability to work at least one shift every four weeks
- capable of mobility for the duration of scheduled shifts
- able to respond promptly to communications from Target
- flexible availability including nights, weekends and holidays
- able to accurately handle cash registers and transactions
- willing to complete orientation and training
- able to frequently lift and move merchandise safely
- willingness to work in varying temperature and environmental conditions
- comply with all safety policies and training
- legal right to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior retail or customer service experience is an asset
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- strong problem-solving skills
- ability to use technology such as handheld scanners and mobile apps
- capable of multitasking and attention to detail
- willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to lift up to 44 pounds
- team player with a positive attitude
- able to follow safety and compliance guidelines
Job Duties
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- create a welcoming experience by greeting guests during daily tasks
- engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
- be knowledgeable about store tools, products, and services to solve guest issues and improve experiences
- thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target
- scan and bag guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards
- work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
- promote current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events
- inform guests about Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up
- understand and demonstrate how to use Wallet and other Target App features
- handle returns following register prompts and policies
- partner with leaders to resolve guest issues
- provide service at Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry
- maintain a clean and clutter-free work area
- stock supplies during store hours while remaining available for guests
- demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance
- comply with safety policies and report hazards
- support guest services such as order pick up and Drive-up including legal compliance
- support Cash Office processes including cash management
- perform other duties based on business needs
