Job Requirements

  • Flexibility to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to pick up shifts as needed and respond to contact attempts
  • minimum work commitment of one four-hour shift every four weeks
  • reliable and prompt attendance
  • physical capability to lift up to 44 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds frequently
  • ability to remain mobile for the duration of a shift
  • capability to work in varying temperature and humidity conditions
  • compliance with company policies and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • experience in customer service or retail is a plus
  • effective communication skills including positive language and attentiveness
  • ability to remain focused and composed in fast-paced environments
  • welcoming and helpful attitude
  • attention to detail and multi-tasking ability
  • willingness to learn and educate guests on products and services
  • ability to use handheld scanners and other technology

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • create a welcoming experience by greeting guests
  • engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their needs
  • be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to improve guest experience
  • scan and bag all guest items efficiently and accurately
  • work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
  • promote Target Loyalty programs and assist with applications
  • support order pick up, drive up, and registry guests
  • maintain a clean and clutter-free work area including gathering abandoned items and hangers
  • support cash office processes as needed
  • comply with safety policies and report hazards
  • partner with leaders to de-escalate situations and recover guest experience
