Job Requirements
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- must be at least 18 years old
- ability to handle cash register operations accurately
- capability to scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds
- flexibility to work varying hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- active engagement in picking up shifts and responding to communications
- ability to work in varying temperatures and remain mobile throughout shift
- reliable and punctual attendance
- willingness to attend orientation and complete training
Job Qualifications
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- effective communication skills including positive language and attentiveness
- ability to remain focused and composed in fast-paced environments
- welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
- attention to detail while multitasking
- willingness to educate guests and engage around products and services
- ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology
- capable of working both independently and collaboratively with a team
Job Duties
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks
- engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their needs
- be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the store and specific to your area to solve guest issues
- thank guests and express gratitude for shopping at Target
- scan and bag guest items efficiently and accurately while complying with food safety standards
- work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
- inform guests about current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events
- promote and assist guests with Target Loyalty programs and store fulfillment services
- assist guests in using the Target App, Wallet, and other digital features
- manage returns and follow register prompts while partnering with leaders to solve guest issues
- help de-escalate situations and recover guest experiences
- deliver easy and accurate service to Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
- maintain clean and clutter-free work areas
- stock supplies during store hours while being available to guests
- demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance at all times
- support guest services such as order pick up, Drive-Up orders, returns and maintain compliance with laws
- support cash office processes and management of cash systems
- perform other duties based on business needs
