Job Requirements
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- reliable and prompt attendance
- able to pick up and work shifts regularly via the myTime mobile app, with at least one shift worked every four weeks
- respond to communication attempts from leadership
- capable of standing and remaining mobile for the length of shifts
- physically able to lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds
- ability to work in varying temperature and weather conditions
- compliance with company policies and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous retail or customer service experience is beneficial
- effective communication skills including using positive language and attentiveness to guests’ needs
- ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
- welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
- attention to detail while multitasking
- capability to educate guests about products and services
- proficiency with multiple communication devices and technology, including handheld scanners
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
- observe to quickly understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact, and tailor your approach accordingly
- engage with guests in a genuine way, asking questions to understand their specific needs
- be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the store to solve guest issues and improve their experience
- thank the guest genuinely and let them know we appreciate their choice to shop at Target
- scan and bag all guest items efficiently and accurately in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
