Job Requirements
- Ability to pick up shifts regularly, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable and prompt attendance when shifts are accepted
- Capability to remain mobile for the entire shift duration
- Physical ability to frequently lift or move items up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds without assistance
- Willingness to engage with guests and educate them about products and services
- Flexibility to work varied hours and respond to communications regarding shift availability
- Compliance with Target's safety policies and procedures
- Completion of required orientation and training
- Ability to operate multiple communication devices
- Must work at least one shift every five months to maintain employment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Problem solving and decision making skills
- Basic knowledge of handheld technology and scanning devices
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Positive and welcoming attitude toward guests and team members
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures
Job Duties
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks
- Engage with guests in a welcoming manner to help solve their specific needs
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the store to improve guest experience
- Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target
- Scan and bag guest items efficiently and accurately following food safety standards
- Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
- Promote Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up
- Provide easy and accurate service to order pick-up, drive-up, and registry guests
- Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area
- Stock supplies during store hours while being available for guests
- Follow safety policies, best practices, and report hazards
- Support guest services such as order pick-up and drive-up, ensuring compliance with relevant laws
- Assist with cash office processes, including managing cash systems
- Perform additional duties based on store needs
