Job Requirements

  • Ability to pick up shifts regularly, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Reliable and prompt attendance when shifts are accepted
  • Capability to remain mobile for the entire shift duration
  • Physical ability to frequently lift or move items up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds without assistance
  • Willingness to engage with guests and educate them about products and services
  • Flexibility to work varied hours and respond to communications regarding shift availability
  • Compliance with Target's safety policies and procedures
  • Completion of required orientation and training
  • Ability to operate multiple communication devices
  • Must work at least one shift every five months to maintain employment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior customer service experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem solving and decision making skills
  • Basic knowledge of handheld technology and scanning devices
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Positive and welcoming attitude toward guests and team members
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with cash handling procedures

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks
  • Engage with guests in a welcoming manner to help solve their specific needs
  • Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the store to improve guest experience
  • Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target
  • Scan and bag guest items efficiently and accurately following food safety standards
  • Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
  • Promote Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up
  • Provide easy and accurate service to order pick-up, drive-up, and registry guests
  • Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area
  • Stock supplies during store hours while being available for guests
  • Follow safety policies, best practices, and report hazards
  • Support guest services such as order pick-up and drive-up, ensuring compliance with relevant laws
  • Assist with cash office processes, including managing cash systems
  • Perform additional duties based on store needs
