Job Requirements

  • Ability to handle cash register operations and support cash office processes
  • physical capability to scan handle and move merchandise efficiently lifting up to 44 pounds occasionally
  • flexibility to pick up shifts including nights weekends and holidays
  • active engagement in picking up and working shifts responding to contact attempts
  • ability to work in varying temperatures and remain mobile throughout shift length
  • must attend Target Welcome orientation and complete training
  • minimum age and eligibility requirements as per company policy

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • strong communication skills including positive language and attentiveness to guest needs
  • ability to remain focused and composed in a fast paced environment
  • welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
  • attention to detail while multitasking
  • willingness to educate guests about products and services
  • ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed
  • ability to work both independently and with a team

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
  • engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
  • be knowledgeable about tools products and services available in the store and specific to your area to solve issues and improve guest experience
  • scan and bag guest items efficiently and accurately
  • minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
  • make guests aware of current and upcoming brand launches store activities and events
