Job Requirements

  • Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays)
  • Reliable and prompt attendance
  • Active engagement by picking up and working shifts at least once every four weeks
  • Ability to work in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements
  • Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift
  • Capable of handling cash register operations and cash transactions
  • Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving product up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds
  • Pass a background check
  • Willing to attend Target Welcome orientation and complete training
  • Respond promptly to communication attempts from Target to confirm availability

Job Qualifications

  • Communicating effectively, including using positive language and attentive to guests needs
  • Capable of working independently and with a team
  • Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed
  • Attention to detail while multi-tasking
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members
  • Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
  • Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
  • Make the guest aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events
  • Partner with Leaders as needed to de-escalate any negative situations and recover the guest shopping experience while following Target's policies and procedures
  • Support guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive-up (DU) orders, DU returns and maintain a compliance culture
  • Maintain a clean, clutter free work area (including gathering abandoned items, baskets, and hangers)
