Job Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years
- ability to lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds occasionally without assistance
- must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times
- reliable attendance and promptness when picking up shifts
- ability to respond to contact attempts regarding shift scheduling
- commitment to work at least one shift within every 5 months
- ability to stand and remain mobile throughout shift duration
- willingness to adhere to safety and compliance policies
- capability to work in varying store conditions including exposure to different temperatures and humidity
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced and physically active retail environment
- familiarity with technology including handheld scanners and mobile apps
- strong customer service orientation
- ability to multitask effectively
- problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- ability to work independently and within a team
- basic cash handling skills
Job Duties
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
- engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
- be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the store to improve guest experience
- thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target
- scan and bag guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with standards
- work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
- make guests aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events
- promote benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up
- explain and demonstrate how to use Wallet and other Target App features
- assist with returns following register prompts and company policies
- partner with leaders to de-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience
- deliver service to Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
- maintain a clean and clutter-free work area
- stock supplies during store hours
- demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance culture
- work safely complying with all policies and training
- support guest services and cash office processes as needed
- perform other duties based on business needs
