Job Requirements
- Accurately handle cash register operations, cash transactions, and support cash office operations as needed
- Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely including frequently lifting or moving product up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance from others
- Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable and prompt attendance necessary
- Active engagement by picking up and working shifts via the myTime mobile app every four weeks
- Respond to contact attempts by Target to confirm availability and interest in working
- Must work at least one shift within six months or face administrative termination
- Capability of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift
Job Qualifications
- Effective communication skills including using positive language and attentive to guests needs
- Ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members
- Attention to detail while multitasking
- Willingness to educate guests and engage around products and services
- Capability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed
- Ability to work both independently and with a team
Job Duties
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
- Observe to quickly understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact, follow body language and verbal clues to tailor your approach
- Engage with guests in a genuine way, including asking questions to better understand their specific needs
- Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the total store and specific to your area to solve issues for the guest and improve their experience
- Thank the guest in a genuine way and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target
- Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
