Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • ability to handle cash register operations and transactions accurately
  • capability to scan, handle, and move merchandise safely including lifting up to 44 pounds independently
  • flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • reliable and prompt attendance
  • active engagement in picking up and working shifts every 4 weeks via the myTime mobile app
  • timely response to Target communications
  • ability to work outdoors and in varying temperatures as required
  • physical stamina to remain mobile throughout shift duration

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
  • observe to quickly understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact and tailor your approach
  • engage with guests in a genuine way by asking questions to better understand their specific needs
  • be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services in the store to solve guest issues and improve their experience
  • thank guests genuinely and communicate appreciation for choosing to shop at Target
  • scan and bag guest items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards
  • work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
  • promote current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events
  • explain benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-up
  • guide guests on usage of Wallet and features within the Target App
  • process returns following register prompts and Target’s policies
  • collaborate with leadership to resolve guest issues and de-escalate negative situations
  • deliver accurate service to Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
  • maintain a clean and clutter-free work area
  • demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
  • work safely to benefit yourself and others by identifying hazards and following policies
  • support guest services such as order pick up and drive-up orders according to regulations
  • assist with Cash Office processes including cash system management
  • perform additional duties as needed based on business requirements
