Job Requirements
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Commitment to picking up at least one shift every four weeks
- Reliable and prompt attendance when shifts are accepted
- Effective communication skills
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise safely up to 44 pounds
- Ability to remain mobile during entire shift
- Active engagement with scheduling app and responding to contact attempts
- Ability to comply with safety and ethical conduct standards
- Legal eligibility to work
- Willingness to attend Target Welcome orientation and training
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments as required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail or customer service experience beneficial but not required
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Ability to use handheld scanners and other technology equipment
- Positive attitude and eagerness to help guests and team members
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic math skills to handle cash register operations
- Attention to detail and multitasking capabilities
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
- Engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the store to solve guest issues and improve experience
- Thank guests and let them know we appreciate their choice to shop at Target
- Scan and bag guest items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with standards
- Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
- Promote current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events
- Advocate for Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up
- Understand and educate guests about features and offerings within the Target App
- Handle returns and assist with de-escalating situations while following policies
- Deliver accurate service to Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area
- Stock supplies during store hours while being available for guests
- Adhere to safety policies and compliance standards
- Support guest services such as order pick up and drive-up orders
- Assist with cash office processes including cash system management
- Perform other duties based on business needs
