Job Requirements
- Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, holidays and peak shopping times
- Reliable and prompt attendance
- Capability to lift and move merchandise up to 44 pounds occasionally without assistance
- Ability to remain mobile and stand for the duration of scheduled shifts
- Active engagement by picking up and working shifts at least once every four weeks
- Respond to employer communication regarding shift availability
- Compliance with safety policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous customer service experience is an asset
- Ability to communicate effectively including positive language and attentive listening
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions
- Comfortable operating scanning and other technology equipment
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks
- Engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to solve guest issues and improve their experience
- Scan and bag guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards
- Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
- Promote and engage guests around benefits, offerings and services including loyalty programs and Target app features
