As an On-Demand Team Member, you will not be included on the weekly posted schedule but instead have the freedom to pick up shifts that best suit your availability. Reliable and prompt attendance is essential, as you are expected to work at least one shift every four weeks, with a minimum shift length of four hours. Failure to respond to scheduling communications or to work shifts within a five-month period may result in the termination of employment. This dynamic role requires active engagement, strong communication skills, and a willingness to work during peak shopping times such as nights, weekends, holidays, and other high-demand periods.
In addition to flexibility, this position offers comprehensive training and orientation designed to prepare new team members effectively. During the initial phase, you will attend a Target Welcome orientation along with a structured training schedule to ensure you are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge. After training, the myTime app becomes your primary tool for managing and picking up shifts.
The role also embodies Target's commitment to outstanding guest service and engagement. As a Guest Advocate, you will play a vital role in creating memorable shopping experiences by interacting with guests, addressing their needs, and promoting the store's services and loyalty programs. Your responsibilities will include greeting guests warmly, assisting with returns and complaints, participating in the upkeep of store cleanliness, and supporting various fulfillment services such as order pickup and drive-up.

- capability to scan, handle, and move merchandise safely including lifting up to 44 pounds
