We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server Assistant to join our hospitality team at Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street, Boston. This role is pivotal in delivering an exceptional dining experience, working closely with servers to ensure service runs smoothly while adhering to the hotel’s high standards for quality and professionalism. The Server Assistant’s responsibilities include setting and clearing tables efficiently, assisting with beverage and food service, and maintaining an inviting and clean environment for guests. This position demands excellent interpersonal skills, an outgoing personality, and a strong work ethic, as well as the ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Job Requirements

  • Affinity for guest service
  • Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform position to the restaurant’s standards and learn the sequence of service
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays
  • Legally permitted to work in the United States
  • Valid work authorization for the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year previous experience in a fast paced food and beverage operation
  • Exceptional communication skills and command of English language
  • Additional language a definite asset for career growth

Job Duties

  • Stock linen, china, and silver for service ensuring that all are polished and in good condition
  • Clean soiled bar glassware and polish by properly utilizing the bar dish machine
  • Greet guests in a professional manner, serve beverage and food items while explaining the contents, and anticipate and service the guest’s needs before requests are necessary
  • Preparation of condiment and garnish items
  • Assistance with guest service including retrieving food from the kitchen using a tray and safely transporting it to guest, as well as removal of items from the guest’s table
  • Breakdown, clean and set-up of tables, buffets, and food stations
