The Server Assistant/Food Runner position is integral in maintaining the smooth operation of our food service. This role involves working closely with the kitchen expo to ensure that prepared dishes are delivered promptly and accurately to the guests. The Server Assistant/Food Runner plays a critical part in the dining experience by making sure every plate is visually appealing and served at the correct temperature, whether hot or cold. Additionally, this position supports the service staff by delivering additional items guests may require, enhancing overall satisfaction.
Candidates for this role must be flexible and ready to work varying shifts in a fast-paced environment. The job demands attention to detail and excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen and service teams. Job Requirements
- Must meet the legal age requirement to serve alcohol
- Alcohol service certification
- Food Handler certification
- Ability to stand and walk for 8 or more hours per day
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Flexibility with workdays and hours
Job Qualifications

- Must meet the legal age requirement to serve alcohol
- Previous experience passionately providing food and beverage service to others preferred
- Alcohol service and Food Handler certifications are required
- Familiarity of restaurant terminology and food service techniques preferred
- Ability to communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing
- A people person who is flexible with schedule, enjoys serving others, and can multi-task while ensuring accuracy
Job Duties
- Checks each plate of food to be correct as ordered by the guest
- Makes sure all condiments are accompanying each order
- Assures that every item on the order is ready and on the tray together
- Works diligently to avoid breakage and loss
- Notifies server of guest needs
- Completes all opening, on-going, and closing side work and manager on duty as signed off on work
- Stocks and restocks appropriate linens for service
- Stocks and restocks work stations with appropriate plates and saucers
- Informs server of any potential guest issues
- Provides general resort information for guests
