Job Description

Take 5 Oil Change is a well-established and trusted service provider in the automotive maintenance industry with over 35 years of experience. Known as your neighborhood go-to oil change spot, Take 5 has built a reputation for delivering high-quality, efficient oil change services. The company emphasizes friendly service by skilled technicians and a streamlined process that allows customers to stay comfortably inside their vehicles while their oil is being changed. This customer-focused approach has made Take 5 a preferred choice for quick and reliable oil change needs. Take 5 is more than just a service provider; it is a community-oriented company that values its employees as much as its customers, offering growth opportunities and a supportive work environment. With many positions available nationwide, including technicians and managerial roles, Take 5 presents a career path with a proven track record of internal promotions. Over 90 percent of their field leaders have risen through the ranks, highlighting the company’s commitment to investing in its people. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are people-oriented, driven, and eager to lead. The role of Shop Manager at Take 5 Oil Change is designed for those who want to showcase leadership skills in a growing company. The position is open to experienced managers and those without prior experience, as paid training is provided for all hires. Experienced managers can earn around $55,000 per year or more, including base salary and bonus opportunities. This position involves overseeing the daily operations of the service shop, managing a team to execute Take 5’s exacting standards for oil changes and additional light maintenance services like replacing wiper blades, air filters, and filling tires with air. The role is dynamic, requiring a balance of customer service, staff management, inventory control, and financial oversight. Employees who join Take 5 as Shop Managers find a unique employment experience that blends leadership development with hands-on technical training. Many successful Shop Managers come from diverse backgrounds, including retail, restaurants, skilled trades, and customer service roles, demonstrating the company’s openness to nurture talent from various industries. This is a full-time position with benefits designed to support your health, well-being, and financial security. The company offers paid time off, health, vision, and dental insurance, and a 401(k) plan with company match for all employees. Additional perks include free oil changes and access to a program allowing early access to 50 percent of earned wages. In less than 60 days, new managers will be expected to take full responsibility for their team and the functioning of the shop. The position requires physical stamina due to lifting requirements and the need to work in various weather conditions, reflecting the hands-on nature of the job. Combining leadership, technical skills, and customer service, this role is ideal for candidates looking for a rewarding, stable career with room to grow at a nationally recognized company.
