Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years EMS advanced life support experience
  • Minimum one year industrial/offshore/remote medical and safety experience preferred
  • Valid paramedic and trauma life support certifications
  • Knowledge of classified medication handling laws
  • Safety and rescue certifications required
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Offshore training such as HUET and Safe Gulf if applicable
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work beyond normal hours
  • Excellent judgment and critical reasoning skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • Paramedic level certification
  • PHTLS or ATLS and BLS certifications
  • CPR and ACLS certifications
  • Experience in advanced life support EMS service
  • Knowledge of OSHA and BSEE standards
  • Safety and rescue certifications such as atmospheric testing and fall protection
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associates degree preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and database software
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle stressful situations

Job Duties

  • Responds to emergencies staying within training level requirements
  • Administers treatment and follow-up for emergency and non-emergency situations
  • Assists in hazard identification and risk assessments
  • Facilitates compliance with occupational health and safety standards
  • Conducts safety orientations and reviews safety policies with personnel
  • Attends and documents safety meetings and job safety analysis audits
  • Performs site inspections and assists in environmental and health monitoring
