The Greek Village House Manager position is a vital role within the Office of Student Life at High Point University. This opportunity is specifically designed for students who wish to take on a leadership position within the Greek community while contributing to the overall safety and well-being of their peers. The House Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining a secure and inclusive living and learning environment for members of the Greek Village, a residential area dedicated to fraternity and sorority housing.
As a Greek Village House Manager, the individual serves as a prominent student leader who models values such as integrity, leadership, academic achievement, and cultural awareness. The role demands a proactive approach to crisis response and policy enforcement, ensuring the safety of all residents. This position is essential in helping to bridge the gap between the university administration and student residents by fostering open communication and supporting the personal and academic growth of students within the Greek community.
House Managers are responsible for developing meaningful relationships with residents, helping students feel connected to the university, and navigating their college transition effectively. The role includes participating in health and safety inspections, hosting educational and community meetings, responding to incidents on a rotating duty schedule, and collaborating with staff to plan and implement developmental events and programs.
Candidates must be willing to dedicate up to 20 hours per week to their responsibilities, primarily working within the Greek Village properties and the Webb Conference Center. This role is compensated with a stipend and offers the possibility of rehire each semester based on performance and continued eligibility.
Successful candidates must be proactive, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously. They should have excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and crisis management skills. The position also requires early return to campus for training and assistance with opening at the beginning of the school year and staying after graduation to help with closing duties.

Job Requirements
- Maintain a 2.5 semester and cumulative GPA
- Be in good standing with the respective organization
- Be in good standing with the Office of Community Standards
- Cannot hold any other on-campus employment positions

Job Duties
- Support and develop relationships that help students form connections with each other and the university
- Be accessible to residents by spending adequate time in their community
- Hold intentional conversations with house residents to support them in their college transition
- Assist with health and safety inspections prior to breaks (Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer)
- Host house meetings throughout the semester to inform residents of Fraternity and Sorority Life procedures and important reminders
- Serve on a rotating duty schedule to respond to incidents as they arise in the community
- Work as a team to develop events and programs for the Greek Village community
- Return to campus early for training and assist with opening and closing at the start and end of the school year
- Attend various meetings with community staff and Fraternity and Sorority Life staff
- Be informed on Fraternity and Sorority Life and Residence Life policies
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Greek Village House Manager or Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life staff
