Job Description

Telecare is a nationally recognized provider of behavioral health services dedicated to delivering excellent and effective programs that support individuals in recovering their health, hopes, and dreams. The organization firmly embraces and promotes cultural diversity, humility, equity, and inclusion throughout all levels of its operations. This commitment is reflected in their inclusive hiring practices, aimed at engaging mental health peers, BIPOC communities, LGBTQIA+ individuals, veterans, and advocates from all belief systems to ensure a diverse and supportive workplace. Telecare operates with a mission to make behavioral health services accessible and meaningful, fostering recovery, resilience, and community integration for those they serve.

The Riverside County Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF), located in Indio, is a specialized 16-bed locked acute inpatient program catering to adults aged 18 years and over who are diagnosed with serious mental illnesses and are experiencing acute mental health crises. The facility supports individuals through voluntary or involuntary admissions (5150) with an average stay ranging between five to seven days. The PHF is dedicated to providing compassionate, effective inpatient psychiatric care aimed at stabilizing individuals and facilitating their journey toward recovery.

Telecare is currently seeking a Full-Time Office Coordinator I for their AM shift from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. This role offers a starting wage range of $19.16 to $23.09 per hour, with geographic differentials applied to the pay range based on the location from which the role is performed. The starting salary is commensurate with experience above the minimum requirements.

The Office Coordinator I plays a pivotal role in supporting the facility's daily administrative, financial, and operational functions. This position requires a dynamic individual who is proficient with administrative duties, financial operations, and various clerical responsibilities that contribute to the smooth functioning of the Psychiatric Health Facility. The Office Coordinator serves as an integral member of the team, assisting in tasks such as payroll preparation, account payable batch entry, trust banking services, and facilitating rep payee services. This role also manages medical records, maintains personnel files, assists in human resources processes such as scheduling interviews and tracking new hire documentation, and supports IT by acting as a liaison for maintenance of phone and computer systems.

Beyond strictly finance and administrative tasks, the Office Coordinator executes a variety of program-driven duties including assisting with staff scheduling, managing office supplies, coordinating special projects, preparing meeting materials, and backing up other administrative positions as needed. The Coordinator is also involved in maintaining safety protocols by managing OSHA logs, workers’ compensation reports, and participating in safety meetings. The multifaceted responsibilities demand an individual with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Telecare values candidates with a high school diploma or GED, along with at least one year of administrative experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry systems. Preferred candidates will have two years of administrative experience and familiarity with healthcare settings. Employment at Telecare requires compliance with post-offer physical exams, tuberculosis screenings, criminal background checks, and, if applicable, valid driver’s license with auto insurance and motor vehicle clearance.

This full-time opportunity with Telecare at the Riverside County Psychiatric Health Facility is an ideal role for professionals eager to contribute to meaningful mental health services through administrative excellence and team collaboration.
