Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of administrative support experience
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish
  • Ability to perform clerical tasks independently
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Ability to transcribe medical and technical documents
  • Must demonstrate cultural competence in serving the Latinx community
  • Keyboarding skills with a minimum of sixty words per minute

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of experience in administrative support with judgment and multitasking
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish fluency
  • Strong keyboarding skills and ability to navigate electronic systems
  • Ability to compose and edit routine correspondence
  • Knowledge of payroll and personnel policies
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience working in a healthcare or hospital environment preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet and check in patients in English and Spanish
  • Collect patient demographics and verify insurance and benefits
  • Assist patients and families in understanding insurance coverage and financial resources
  • Perform clerical duties including typing, transcription, file management, and scheduling
  • Operate office equipment and manage supply orders
  • Assist with orientation of new personnel and act as a resource for staffing and payroll issues
  • Provide culturally responsive customer service ensuring a welcoming clinic environment
