Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous reception desk experience
  • Multi-line phone system proficiency
  • Prior customer service experience
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and handle confrontational situations calmly
  • Computer proficiency
  • Flexibility with work breaks and workflow
  • Ability to maintain a professional telephone voice and proper etiquette

Job Duties

  • Accurately answer phone calls and greet customers in a friendly, energetic, personable, professional and polite manner
  • Be perceptive about other employees and their needs regarding front desk services
  • Maintain courteous, diplomatic and cooperative working relationships with staff
  • Answer and direct questions from callers and visitors to the proper location
  • Maintain an organized reception desk and lobby
  • Assist other departments as needed
  • Open and close the main office and ensure coverage of the main telephone line during business hours
