Renowned for its commitment to excellence, quality, and value, Omaha Track strives to remain the industry leader through a continuous focus on growth and improvement across its four primary areas: Materials, Railroad Services, Equipment, and Terminal Services. As a trusted partner in the railroad sector, Omaha Track emphasizes reliability and innovation, supporting the operational needs of its customers while upholding high standards of service and product delivery. The company fosters a dynamic and supportive work environment that values integrity, dedication, and professional development, aiming to provide employees with opportunities to grow alongside the business.

The role of the Office & Scale Administrator at Omaha Track is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of daily administrative functions within the office environment. This position works collaboratively with various departments to facilitate communication, maintain the flow of information, and support organizational efficiency. The ideal candidate is dependable, highly organized, and adept at balancing multiple tasks with precision and timeliness. Responsibilities in this role include greeting visitors, managing phone communications professionally, scheduling and maintaining calendars, and handling mail distribution effectively. Additionally, the Office & Scale Administrator will oversee inventory management by maintaining office supplies and ensuring that stock levels are adequate.

A key aspect of the role involves managing critical operational functions related to the weighing and tracking of railcars and trucks, ensuring accurate yard inventory balances, and releasing railcars as needed. This requires attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records, including updating storage sheets and tracking ongoing projects using spreadsheet tools. Data entry skills are essential, particularly for entering Bills of Lading into the OTIS system. The position demands strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide general support across the office teams and foster a professional, welcoming environment for both internal staff and external visitors.

Omaha Track values employees who demonstrate the ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information. The role requires physical capabilities such as lifting up to 50 pounds, and the ability to perform activities including sitting, kneeling, standing, walking on uneven surfaces, bending, squatting, and reaching above or below shoulders. The company is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity, inclusion, and providing equal employment opportunities without discrimination based on legally protected characteristics.

Overall, the Office & Scale Administrator role at Omaha Track offers an enriching experience within a respected company at the forefront of the railroad industry. Candidates with a strong administrative background, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a keen eye for organization will find this position rewarding.
