Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable personal vehicle for use during shifts
  • Availability to work weekends holidays and flexible hours
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including bending reaching and stooping
  • Ability to work onsite at Kiawah Island Golf Resort
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members

Job Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Computer fluency
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to follow directions perform tasks with attention to detail speed accuracy and follow-through
  • Ability to work without direct supervision
  • Strong team player skilled at setting up and organizing work areas
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with high-end clientele
  • Proficiency in computer usage including email and internal systems
  • Experience in hospitality or housekeeping preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Clean The Ocean Course Cottages including making beds cleaning bathrooms dusting and vacuuming
  • Change and replenish bed linens towels and guest amenities as needed
  • Perform deep cleaning tasks as needed
  • Stock maintain and transport housekeeping supply cart daily and maintain linen storage for Cottages
  • Deliver meals to cottages including breakfast and other meals
  • Place personalized amenities in Cottages for arrivals
  • Ensure all pre-ordered food beverage and other items are stocked for guests
  • Take all requests take ownership and ensure tasks are completed
  • Remain alert courteous and helpful to guests and co-workers at all times
  • Interact articulately and personably with high-end clientele
  • Maintain all storage areas clean and well maintained with cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Maintain cleaning procedures in all public spaces in The Ocean Course Clubhouse
  • Clean multiple common areas timely and efficiently
  • Maintain and replenish restrooms with supplies continuously
  • Document maintenance requests daily for Cottages and The Ocean Course Clubhouse
  • Dispose of trash and recyclables
  • Replenish cutlery and kitchen equipment in Cottages as needed and inventory
  • Use computer systems for food and beverage front desk and golf tee-times
  • Communicate with guests and internal departments via email to customize visits
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
