Job Requirements
- Must have graduated from an Occupational Therapy Assistant program accredited by the AOTA
- Must possess a current Occupational Therapy Assistant license from the state of practice
- Must have BLS certification
- Must possess Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at time of hire and maintain throughout employment
- Must demonstrate clinical competency and experience
- Must complete occupational health physical assessment and drug screen post-offer
- Must pass background check including employment, criminal, and education verification
Job Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Possess current Occupational Therapy Assistant license for state of practice
- BLS certification
- Demonstrated clinical competency and experience
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to document accurately and timely
- Experience with electronic medical records preferred
- Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card for Banner Home Care AZ
Job Duties
- Administers occupational therapy treatment according to plan of care
- Implements individualized treatment plans considering patient needs
- Monitors effectiveness of treatment and collaborates with Occupational Therapist
- Participates in discharge planning
- Provides education to patient and care team
- Documents treatment and patient progress following regulatory standards
- Communicates patient information with healthcare team
- Adapts to caseload, scheduling, and staffing changes
- Supervises and delegates to Therapy Technicians and students
- Participates in department process improvement and meets productivity standards
- Interacts with healthcare staff, physicians, patients, families, and external providers
