Job Requirements
- Must hold valid driver’s license
- have a driving record in accordance with local policies and/or enroll in California Employer Pull Notice Program
- previous food inventory experience
- experience with perishable and non-perishable inventory
- ability to bend, squat, stand, and walk for long periods
- ability to push, pull, and lift 50-100 lbs
- must be available to work weekends, variable days and hours, holidays, and occasional overtime
- employment subject to criminal background check and pre-employment physical
Job Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- previous food inventory experience
- experience with perishable and non-perishable inventory
- knowledge of FIFO (first in, first out) method
- one to two years of food inventory and/or warehouse experience
- basic computer skills
- knowledge of accessing online resources and training
Job Duties
- Order, receive, inspect, and store food service products
- communicate and resolve discrepancies according to UCSD policies and procedures
- establish and maintain approved storehouse systems including receiving, inventory, requisitions
- maintain all storage areas in neat, orderly, clean and sanitary condition
- provide stores accountability and usage in required time frame
- maintain security of stored items
- uphold departmental sanitation and hygiene standards
- conduct food items, supplies and equipment inventory
- perform duties at expert level
