This role is a Food Service Worker position within Primary Children's at Lehi, tailored to support the nutrition services department by performing a variety of food and guest service duties under general supervision. The position requires versatility as it includes several key responsibilities such as patient meal tray assembly and delivery, cashier duties, food assembly, food serving, and cleaning tasks. The employee will be required to follow standardized processes to ensure that patients receive meals efficiently and correctly, adhering to quality and safety standards. Moreover, they will assist in food preparation by following recipes and assembling ingredients to prepare salads, sandwiches, vegetables, and fruits.
The Food Service Worker must also demonstrate attentiveness to maintaining dining experiences, delivering meals professionally, and ensuring stock levels meet system requirements. Additionally, this role encompasses housekeeping responsibilities such as cleaning and sanitizing food preparation surfaces, performing floor care, and maintaining kitchen equipment like ovens and fryers. The position demands a combination of customer service skills and operational competencies, including the ability to perform accurate cash and credit transactions and independently resolve basic customer concerns. Candidates should expect to work a full-time schedule totaling 40 hours per week, with shifts on Monday through Thursday from 2:45 pm to 11:15 pm and Saturdays from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work a full-time schedule including Monday through Thursday late evenings and Saturdays
- Must have or obtain food handler permit or ServSafe certification according to state requirements
- Basic math and cash handling skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry items of varying weights
- Ability to tolerate exposure to cleaning chemicals and temperature extremes
- Good communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Food handler permit or ServSafe certification is required by first day of work (required only in the states of Utah and Idaho)
- Demonstrated ability to work with modified diets (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service (preferred)
Job Duties
- Delivers and presents trays to patients using the standard process
- Performs food preparation functions according to system standards (following standard recipe, assembling ingredients) for example, prepares salads, sandwiches, vegetables, and fruit
- Follows standardized practices relating to Nutrition Services (e.g. dining experience, meal delivery, maintaining required stock levels)
- Performs housekeeping functions including cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, floor care, and equipment (oven, fryer, hoods)
- Performs accurate cash/credit transactions according to system standards and independently resolves basic customer service issues
