Job Requirements
- One year of patient care experience preferred in acute hospital or long term care setting
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification
- must pass orientation and initial competency assessment
- must complete and pass annual competencies
- ability to work 0.9 FTE (72 hours per pay period) primarily on PM shift with occasional day shift
- detail oriented and organized
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent work experience in related field preferred
- completion of Certified Nursing Assistant course or relevant work experience required
- knowledge of medical terminology
- strong computer skills
- exceptional phone etiquette
- effective communication skills
- ability to multitask in a busy demanding work environment
- critical thinking skills
Job Duties
- Take vital signs for assigned patients
- assist patients with activities of daily living and comfort measures
- perform clerical duties related to assigned department
- conduct receptionist responsibilities including phone etiquette and communication
- demonstrate a positive attitude and customer service orientation
- follow policies and procedures of Montage Health and department
- work under direct supervision of a registered nurse (RN)
