Job Requirements

  • Minimum five years of experience in patient care delivery
  • Bachelor degree in Nursing (BSN) and minimum five years of experience in business operations, clinical healthcare, or a directly related field
  • Minimum four years of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports
  • Registered Nurse License (California) required at hire
  • Basic Life Support required at hire
  • Knowledge in patient safety, nursing principles, emergency preparedness, evidence-based medicine principles, change management, business process improvement, compliance management, confidentiality, employee training, conflict resolution, stakeholder management, health care quality standards, health care compliance, maintain files and records, workforce planning, legal and regulatory requirements, Microsoft Office, information systems

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Registered Nurse License (California)
  • Minimum five years of patient care delivery experience
  • Minimum five years of experience in clinical healthcare or business operations
  • Minimum four years of leadership experience with or without direct reports
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Demonstrated skills in change management, business process improvement, compliance, and healthcare quality standards
  • Strong knowledge of emergency preparedness and evidence-based medicine principles

Job Duties

  • Lead the implementation of best practice models across clinical units
  • Oversee patient care delivery systems and maintain practice standards in multiple locations
  • Manage investigation and resolution of patient, family, and member concerns related to patient care and services
  • Facilitate collaboration with physicians, healthcare providers, and team members for optimal patient care
  • Monitor resource needs across clinical areas for proper assignment and utilization
  • Manage use and maintenance of clinical equipment, supplies, and medications
  • Ensure a safe and compliant environment for patients and employees
  • Provide clinical supervision and maintain clinical expertise to direct care provision
  • Delegate tasks aligned with scope of practice
  • Perform clinical duties as necessary
  • Create and advocate developmental opportunities for staff
  • Build collaborative, cross-functional relationships
  • Provide performance feedback, coaching, and professional growth activities
  • Hire, train, and develop talent, and manage succession planning
  • Translate business plans into tactical action and oversee work assignments to ensure policy adherence
  • Partner with stakeholders to align products and services with departmental strategies
  • Manage administrative hospital functions including compliance, labor relations, payroll, and budgets
  • Lead 24/7 care delivery operations, develop strategic partnerships, and oversee complex workflows
  • Design and manage emergency preparedness programs
  • Lead long-term strategic projects to improve quality, service, and efficiency
  • Drive continuous improvement of clinical quality and safety practices
  • Hold staff accountable for legal and regulatory compliance
  • Lead systems and process improvements to enhance patient care and operational performance
  • Communicate goals and remove obstacles to performance
