The primary responsibility of the position is to ensure the security and smooth operation of university events and parking services while maintaining a safe, orderly environment that supports university operations. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, a customer-service orientation, and the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, faculty, and the wider university community. The Events Manager/Security Officer is responsible for working rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and some holidays, and must be able to perform physically demanding duties in various weather conditions. This includes standing, walking, and lifting up to 10 pounds. The role also involves assisting the University Police with gate operations and requires availability to work mandatory overtime during special events.

Job Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in customer service preferably within a university or public-facing environment
- relevant experience in security or enforcement operations
