The Growth Assistant Restaurant Leader at Raising Cane's plays a critical role in supporting the company's ongoing expansion via new restaurant openings and operational excellence. This leadership position takes on responsibility for overseeing the training team, focusing on trainer development and providing support for hourly restaurant managers and Assistant Restaurant Leaders during their deployments. The role demands a proactive leader capable of managing day-to-day restaurant operations both before and after openings, consistently upholding Raising Cane's high standards for service, quality, safety, and culture. The Growth Assistant Restaurant Leader may also be called upon to lead new restaurant openings directly, ensuring that all setup and organizational tasks are completed thoroughly and accurately. This position operates in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment that includes kitchen and customer-facing duties, requiring the ability to handle physical activity such as walking, standing, lifting, and bending. Employees must also work under varied conditions, including temperature changes and exposure to food products and cleaning substances, while maintaining compliance with safety standards and personal protective equipment requirements. Success in this role hinges on strong organizational skills, the ability to manage shifting priorities, effective communication both verbal and written, and advanced analytical capabilities. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, flexible, collaborative, and equipped with a comprehensive knowledge of labor laws, staffing, scheduling, personnel, and cost management. Experience opening new restaurants is a plus, as is proficiency with technology systems such as Microsoft Office. This position requires travel and shift flexibility to meet the demands of training and operational responsibilities. Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of restaurant or retail management experience
  • advanced knowledge of labor laws, staffing, scheduling, people and cost management
  • new restaurant opening experience preferred
  • valid driver’s license
  • able to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings and weekends
  • able to travel as needed for work-related functions and training
  • proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • detail-oriented, organized and able to manage multiple priorities
  • self-driven, flexible with strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
  • able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
  • able to recognize problems, set goals, create plans, and convert plans into action to solve problems

Job Duties

  • Lead the training team and oversee trainer development
  • lead new restaurant setup and organization ensuring full and accurate completion
  • enforce Raising Cane’s policies and standards
  • execute shift management meeting Raising Cane’s operations and safety standards
  • perform restaurant performance standards observation walks and document results taking corrective action when needed
  • support strategy planning and execution in all areas of operations
  • complete other duties as assigned
