Job Requirements

  • One year of experience in a high-volume restaurant or bar preferred
  • Must be at least 19 years of age
  • Available to work nights holidays and/or weekends
  • Able to work in a fast-paced loud environment
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a current food handler's card and/or food safety certification
  • Must complete Responsible Vendor Training
  • Physical ability to bend stretch reach squat twist stand walk and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the workplace language
  • Basic math and point-of-sale system operation skills
  • Professional appearance and organizational skills
  • Ability to remain calm and exercise good judgment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to multitask and manage interruptions while staying flexible and composed

Job Qualifications

  • Able to speak read write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
  • Basic math skills and ability to operate a point-of-sale system
  • Professional image with attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to remain calm and exercise good judgment
  • Strong attention to detail and discretion in maintaining confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks with interruptions while maintaining composure

Job Duties

  • Assist with opening and closing duties such as restocking the bar with garnishes straws and napkins and ensuring that bartenders have clean towels glassware etc
  • Ensure the bar is well-stocked with ice liquor wine and beer
  • Check taps and appliances to confirm that they are working properly do regular maintenance or change out kegs if needed
  • Keep the bar clean by wiping down surfaces sweeping and mopping removing soiled glassware cleaning coolers and storage areas and emptying trash receptacles
  • Learn about menu items and memorize cocktail recipes
  • Take orders prepare non-alcoholic drinks bus tables open tabs and process payment especially during peak hours
  • Communicate promptly and courteously with all guests
  • Communicate effectively with management and staff
  • Maintain a clean working environment and follow operating checklists
  • Follow all applicable liquor laws and company policies
  • Understand and follow proper rules of hygiene and food safety measures
  • Flexible during shift to ensure smooth and efficient operation as directed
  • Follow policies and safety procedures to company standards
