The role of General Manager at Noodles & Company is a dynamic and rewarding position suited for an exceptional leader who excels at restaurant management and thrives in a fast-paced environment. As General Manager, you will be entrusted with the end-to-end operations of your restaurant, displaying not only managerial excellence but also the charisma and collaboration skills needed to motivate your team. Managing the financial performance through effective control of the restaurant's Profit and Loss statement is a key responsibility, which demands a strategic yet hands-on approach to budgeting and expense management. You will be the living embodiment of the company’s culture and values, ensuring those are deeply integrated into every aspect of the restaurant's operations.

You will lead a team of passionate individuals by delegating responsibilities appropriately while maintaining a positive and respectful work environment. Motivating and providing timely, constructive feedback is central to your leadership style and critical to developing future restaurant leaders through programs such as the Leadership Development Program (My Road Trip). Your daily focus will be to uphold and exceed standards for food quality, safety, and cleanliness, making every guest’s visit memorable and personal. You will actively seek ways to improve restaurant operations, staff satisfaction, and guest experience, making the restaurant better every day. Flexibility and dedication are essential, as the role requires working nights, weekends, and holidays, often extending beyond a typical 47.5-hour workweek to ensure the restaurant’s success. Physical stamina is also necessary to perform various tasks in the restaurant environment, including lifting up to 55 pounds and performing typical kitchen duties.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Minimum of three years restaurant/retail experience
  • Minimum of two years management experience
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and situations with skill and discretion
  • Ability to make guests smile uncontrollably
  • Articulate
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have a strong work ethic and accountability
  • Willingness and ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work necessary hours
  • Position may require walking, bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling or moving objects up to 55 pounds
