The Shuttle Driver role at VPA is a vital position responsible for providing courteous and safe transportation services within a medical facility environment in Fort Pierce. Drivers operate newer 14-passenger vehicles or golf cart tram-type shuttles, which do not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL), making it accessible to a broad range of qualified individuals. Drivers are expected to greet passengers politely, assist them as necessary, and ensure safe transit to various destinations on the hospital grounds. The role demands strict adherence to traffic laws and company protocols, maintaining clear communication with management and team members through radio and other communication devices. VPA values responsible driving, dependability, and customer-friendly attitudes, making this an ideal role for those who enjoy interacting with people and supporting community health services through essential transportation. With a focus on steady local routes and manageable schedules, applicants can expect steady employment with options for full-time or part-time engagement, suitable for varying availability and lifestyle needs. Additionally, VPA supports its drivers by covering necessary medical certification expenses for those who qualify, demonstrating their commitment to employee well-being and compliance with regulatory standards.
