This position is a full-time Commercial Vehicle Driver role working under the supervision of the Driver Supervisor. The primary responsibility is to deliver containers to various sites promptly and safely, ensuring that all procedures and protocols for cargo handling are meticulously followed. The role involves retrieving cargo from various services, managing different types of transportation equipment, and maintaining detailed documentation related to each delivery trip. The driver is also accountable for collecting any cash on delivery accounts and reporting any incidents immediately to their supervisor. Additionally, the driver is expected to maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle and demonstrate reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed.

The ideal candidate for this position is someone with a strong work ethic, good judgment, and the ability to work well with others in a team environment. They should have proficiency in operating various types of vehicles including Type 3 and CDL A and B vehicles, as well as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and wagons. Physical demands of the job include frequent lifting of items weighing up to 50 pounds, so a good level of physical fitness is necessary. Experience in the produce industry is preferred as it provides valuable understanding relevant to the cargo and handling requirements.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED preferred, a CDL A license, forklift certification, and the ability to maintain necessary licensure and Public Utilities Commission (PUC) certificates. Candidates must also demonstrate competent English language skills to facilitate communication, understand traffic signs, and complete reports accurately.
