As a company dedicated to providing top-quality food products alongside excellent customer service, US Foods prides itself on fostering a community of food people who are passionate about the industry and committed to delivering superior service every day. The company supports its employees with comprehensive benefits and a dynamic work environment that promotes safety, respect, and growth. With a strong regional presence and a comprehensive product portfolio, US Foods continues to set benchmarks in the food distribution sector throughout the nation.

The Non CDL Driver I position at US Foods is a critical role responsible for delivering foodservice products using company vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) up to 14,900 pounds. This role demands a professional and dependable driver capable of maintaining a high level of customer service while adhering strictly to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. The position offers competitive hourly compensation ranging from $25 to $28.85, depending on experience, and includes eligibility for overtime pay. Additionally, employees in this role become eligible for benefits beginning the first day of the month after 90 days of employment.

Non CDL Drivers at US Foods are tasked with the timely and safe delivery of products to a variety of customer locations, often requiring multi-stop routes. The drivers must be physically able to lift heavy items, some weighing up to 100 pounds occasionally, and must manage loading and unloading tasks efficiently. Handling the delivery documentation accurately using hand scanners and ensuring proper return of any products are also essential aspects of the role. Communication skills are vital, as drivers must report any delivery or customer service issues promptly to the appropriate personnel, such as Customer Service Teams or Transportation Supervisors.

This position operates on variable schedules that may include four 10-hour days or five 8-hour days, with guaranteed work on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday, plus an additional day based on weekly volume. Flexibility to work on weekends, holidays, and overtime is necessary to meet customer demands. Candidates who understand safe food handling procedures and vehicle maintenance basics, including pre-trip and post-trip inspections, stand to succeed in this role.

The ideal candidate for the Non CDL Driver I role should possess valid U.S. driver’s licenses with a clean driving record compliant with DOT standards, be at least 21 years old, and have relevant delivery experience. Experience in foodservice or hand cart delivery is advantageous but not mandatory. Successful candidates bring excellent interpersonal skills, are physically fit for the demands of lifting and moving products, and exhibit a strong sense of responsibility and adherence to safety protocols. This opportunity offers a rewarding career path in a reputable company committed to inclusivity, safety, and employee development.
