The driver will also be engaged in a cross-dock model, wherein they pick up loaded trucks from nightly deliveries at assigned loading docks and return empty trucks to designated lots at the end of their routes. To support efficient operations, the driver may sometimes assist with tasks such as loading trucks, palletizing products, and other duties assigned by supervisors or managers. The role necessitates a strong attention to detail, particularly when verifying deliveries with customers, obtaining signatures, and handling discrepancies or returns.
