Job Requirements

  • Food Manager certification from prior work experience or completion of Philz Coffee Food Manager certification within 30 days
  • 3+ years experience managing a fast paced, high volume, customer service-oriented business preferably in a food service or retail setting
  • Proven experience in managing financial health including P&L oversight, revenue, and costs
  • Ability to create an inclusive and dynamic team and work environment
  • Proactive self-starter
  • Solid business acumen
  • Proven ability to recruit, motivate, train and retain a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to operate machines, tools, and equipment
  • Visual acuity for safety and accuracy
  • Ability to remain stationary for 3 hours
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds intermittently and 3 pounds repeatedly to shoulder height
  • Ability to grasp, finger, reach
  • Ability to express or exchange information verbally

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience managing a fast paced, high volume, customer service-oriented business preferably in food service or retail
  • Proven experience managing financial health of retail operations including P&L oversight, driving revenue and managing costs
  • Proven ability to create an inclusive and dynamic team and work environment
  • Proactive self-starter who works well independently and as part of a team
  • Solid business acumen
  • Proven ability to recruit, motivate, train and retain a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Maximize financial performance by creating a great work environment for exceptional customer service and authentic interactions
  • Set goals and expectations for team members, align performance and incentives, manage performance issues and hold team accountable
  • Partner with the district recruiter to attract, develop and retain diverse, high-performing talent that can lead the store and grow Philz's future
