- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- ability to operate cleaning machinery safely
- knowledge of safety procedures for chemical cleaners and equipment
- physical stamina to perform manual labor
- willingness to obtain certification for Rider Jack operation if required.

- willingness to obtain certification for Rider Jack operation if not already certified.
Job Duties
- Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them
- gather and empty trash, consolidate trash for weekly pickup
- service, clean, and supply restrooms
- clean walls, racks and equipment
- mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications
- clean and restore building interiors using commercial cleaning equipment
- clean different surfaces using solvents, brushes, rags, and power cleaning equipment
- follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
- monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours
- move furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks
- notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems
- remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, using snow blowers, and snow shovels, and spread snow melting chemicals
- set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings
- must be experienced or able to get certified in operating a Rider Jack.
