Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • one to three months related experience and/or training
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and moving supplies
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • availability to work flexible hours if needed
  • willingness to follow safety procedures and operational guidelines
  • readiness to get certified in operating Rider Jack if not already certified

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • one to three months related experience and/or training
  • ability to operate basic cleaning and maintenance equipment
  • knowledge of safety and cleanliness standards
  • physical ability to perform manual tasks
  • ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • good communication skills
  • willingness to obtain Rider Jack certification

Job Duties

  • Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them
  • gather and empty trash, consolidate trash for weekly pickup
  • service, clean, and supply restrooms
  • clean walls, racks and equipment
  • mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications
  • clean and restore building interiors using commercial cleaning equipment
  • clean different surfaces using solvents, brushes, rags, and power cleaning equipment
  • follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
  • monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours
  • move furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks
  • notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems
  • remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, using snow blowers, and snow shovels, and spread snow melting chemicals
  • set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings
  • must be experienced or able to get certified in operating a Rider Jack
